For Such a Time as This…

Statistics relating to both sexual abuse and domestic violence are almost identical. 1 out of every 3 Americans have been affected by one or the other.

For over 3 decades, the goal of Abba Ministries Counseling Center has been to help those who have been severely victimized by this abuse.

Regarding sexual abuse, often the victim is not believed by their most significant others when first told. Herein trust is broken a second time unto profound hurt.

The Through His Eyes Program is a vehicle of grace to restore trust in both God and others. It is a vehicle of restoration and hope.

Regarding domestic abuse, it is often asked why someone can stay in it. It is simply because a victim mindset is formed and there seems to be no way out. God can change unassertiveness to assertiveness and cause a victim to be a victor.

I can honestly say in over 33 years of counseling, that I have never seen God not run to those in need. He runs to each one with both His love and wholeness.

Due to this reality, the impossible can be possible, Love can overcome hate and wholeness can replace a life of pain.

“Truly, I say unto you, in as much as you have done it unto the least of these, you have done it unto me.” Matthew 25:40

Sexual Abuse Counseling

Most know the statistics regarding sexual abuse in America.

1 in every 3.8 females have been sexually abused by the age of 21. 1 in every 4.1 males have been sexually abused by the age of 21. So many of those intrinsic to these statistics are children under 10 years old.

Regarding those from Jr. High School up, the program Through His Eyes has been developed. It has a 95% success rate for those completing the 4 week program.

For a young child, play therapy is utilized in a very prescribed fashion. Again our success rate is just under 90 percent.

Each program is based on Biblical principles. I firmly believe that only by God's Grace can those who have been hurt so severely be healed.

Truly, Jesus came to heal the brokenhearted and does! (Luke 4:18)

Domestic Abuse Counseling

As with sexual abuse, domestic abuse unfortunately continues to grow.

From batter wives to children who live in daily fear of harm, in their own homes, domestic abuse is increasingly prevalent.

In our domestic abuse program we have 3 main objectives.

The first is safety. It is imperative that those being harmed are brought to a place of safety.

Second, it is to deliver all those involved from a mindset of victimization.

Third, it is to bring wholeness regarding the harm that has been realized.

Opioid Addiction Counseling

Opioid Addiction is now an epidemic in our nation. Due to the physical reality of addiction where in brain chemistry can be altered, it can be very difficult.

However, with God, All things are possible. We deal with the root reasons that make an individual vulnerable to drugs.

As well, we introduce the person of Jesus Christ to them. This is because only Jesus can fill the void in one's life.

Over and over again, we have seen those who have been brought back by Narcan up to 8 times, have their lives changed in an amazing way.
