Pastor Michael Brennan has been involved in sexual abuse counseling for 25 years. He is an ordained minister and has a master's degree in counseling. The impetus to his involvement in ministering to those have been sexually abused was an experience that he had while being involved in campus mystery. 

During both undergraduate and graduate studies, the statistics of one in every four females and 1 in every 6 males being a sexually abused before the age of 21 was shared over and over again.

However, the profoundness of the statistics made it very hard to believe. These statistics became real 7 out of 8 students in a campus Bible study shared that they had been sexually abused. This changed the focus of his ministr and has resulted in the development of THROUGH HIS EYES program. Through God's grace, this program has had a 95% success rate. It is a program that God has seemingly raised up for such a time as this.
